We analyze where you want to buy or where you are selling and cross reference the type of houses you are buying or selling to find the agents that are most qualified to help you with your house shopping. The agents we recommend we call "top realtors".
As you search for homes we automatically display the top realtors that match your search criteria in the side panel. You can read the profile on any of these agents. Or, if you prefer you can simply ask us to search for your realtor via the "find a realtor for me" form that appears when you click on "Need a Realtor" or the "Help Me Choose" button.
Either way, we help good customers find good agents. We use the local real estate association housing sales data because it is audited and reliable. We treat all agents from all agencies the same. This way, you, the home shopper get a 100% fair and objective recommendation based upon a comprehensive review of every Realtor from every real estate agency; thus ensuring that you get the very best agent for your individual needs.

Get the best Realtor® from any agency! Select any Realtor®, from any agency, who is active in your search area. We can help you find the best agent for your specific needs. Agents tend to specialize by area of town and type of property. Working with an agent whose specialty closely fits your needs is the best way to ensure your success. How do you find these Realtors®? As you are searching, HomeProdigy's proprietary Agent Match process automatically displays those top agents who are most active in buying or selling the location and type of homes for which you are searching.
How are agents and customers matched? Realtors® use a system called MLS to buy and sell homes. By analyzing these listing and sales records from the last 12 months we can determine which agents are the best match for your needs. Additionally, we provide customer feedback (where available) plus any criteria optionally provided by either the agent or the customer. Using all of this together, we display a list of Realtors® (as seen in the image above) specifically tailored to your needs. Our goal can best be defined as "success = happy agent + happy customer + successfully completed sale".
How much does it cost? There is no cost to you, the customer. Searching for homes on HomeProdigy is free for both customers and agents. When you, as our customer, decide to find an agent through us, then NextProdigy, Inc. (owner of HomeProdidgy.com) refers you to the agent or agents of your choice. We are compensated by the agent, who pays a standard industry fee upon successfully closing the sale of your house.
I like this house - why not just use that agent? If you are a Buyer, you should realize the listing agent for any house represents the seller. Buyers need to be represented by an agent primarily responsible to them. Many listing agents will not represent the buyer. They believe (correctly) that it may lead to a conflict of interest.
Do I need my own agent? Home shoppers choose to work with an agent 80-90% of the time. Buying or selling a home is often the largest financial transaction people make, and the complexity of financing and legal issues grows every year. Add to this the experienced agent's understanding of market trends, local pricing influences, and the marketing power of the MLS system. For most home sellers/buyers, we believe the professional advice of the right Realtor® will provide both financial rewards and peace of mind as they achieve their goals in the market.
